We had folder redirection on the old server and transfered them to our new file server. I noticed that if i completely remove a user from his station locally and have him sign in again to recreate his /37558.txt profile, the redirecion then work. I had another gpo which does the drive mapping. This gpo used to have folder redirection settings but folder redirection is not set to "not configured" on this gpo.
I removed enforced on the old gpo and set enforced on my folder redirection. It now works as intended. I also tried to do test a gpo redirsction applying it only to me and creating a new root folder shared so the gpo create a fresh folder with new permissions.

If you have more than one windwos in the name try reducing it down. You probably don't want this as a solution, but at least as a testing step - try deleting the profile on a PC and login again with a fresh profile and oflder if the folder redirection works.
I've found that folder redirection is really finicky and often a profile delete is required after a change. It's annoying.
